iDoo Video Editor provides a straightforward, beginner-friendly method to hardcode (burn-in) subtitles directly into your video files using its built-in subtitle module.
The standard workflow for beginners to add subtitles using iDoo involves the following streamlined process: Step 1: Import Your Video
Launch the software and select the Subtitle function from the main feature dashboard.
Click the “Add File” button to load your target video clip into the program. Step 2: Load or Write Subtitles
Import an existing file if you already have a prepared subtitle track. iDoo natively supports importing standard SRT and ASS file formats.
Create manual subtitles if you do not have a pre-made file. You can use the built-in text editor timeline to play your video, pause at specific timestamps, and manually type out the dialogue segments. Step 3: Customize the Typography
Before exporting, customize the visual layout to ensure your captions are readable against changing video backgrounds:
Font Properties: Modify the typeface style, size, and emphasis traits (bold, italic).
Color & Positioning: Adjust the font color and move the text alignment (center, top, or standard lower-third placement).
Readability Effects: Apply solid text outlines or drop shadows to ensure the text stands out cleanly against bright backgrounds. Step 4: Export and Render
Preview the final layout inside the built-in media player to ensure the audio synchronization and text wraps look exactly as intended.
Select your preferred output format (such as MP4, MKV, or AVI) and output folder.
Click the “Start” or “Run” button to hardcode the subtitles permanently onto your final exported video track. To tailor this guide for your project, please let me know:
